Australia Flights

Booking flights from the UK to Australia….

Until we get our act together and sort out some kind of teleport system it seems like a flight from the UK to Australia is always going to be a long old affair, taking over 20 hours and involving a stop somewhere, typically in Asia.

Where to look for Australia flights online

A good starting point is one of the big online flight agencies such as Opodo or netflights. Do a search for Australia flights there and you will be presented with a range of options from various airlines they have done deals with.

In recent times we have noticed that it is sometimes cheaper to book direct on the airline website though. Please consult our individual guides to Sydney flights, Melbourne flights, Perth flights and Brisbane flights for a full list of airlines flying to the respective Australian city from Britain.

You can also try flight comparison services like Skyscanner but just be aware that they never seem to include all the options.

Business Class flights to Australia

Australia is one of the few destinations where frequent flyers are really keen to pay extra to fly business class. It makes sense. Compared to a two or three hour flight to Europe, unfortunately a flight to Australia is always going to take more like 24 hours. The benefits of a flat bed seat and relaxing lounges at the airports as well as extra baggage allowance and other perks make a lot of people at least price up the difference between economy and business class flights to Australia. Again check sites like netflights as well as the airlines direct.

Which airlines offer flights from the UK to Australia

Qantas, BA, Cathay Pacific, who are all in the One World Alliance so you might find some code share arrangements in place.
